Our Casa Lead Teacher, Ms. Irena Kura, has been invited on TV to talk about this wonderful program.
Ms. Irena talked about the core of the Montessori method which is a profound respect for the child as an individual with innate curiosity and the ability to direct their own learning. Dr. Maria Montessori believed that children possess an internal drive for self-development and learning, and the role of education should be to nurture and guide this natural process.
She had taken some educational Montessori materials with her and set up “a little classroom” in the TV studio. She showed how Montessori materials are carefully crafted to engage children in hands-on learning experiences that promote sensory development, cognitive skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Ms. Irena stated that the Montessori method serves as a reminder that education, at its core, is a journey of self-discovery and empowerment for each unique individual.
